Is the OYO Gym FlexPack Dirty or Used?

We've had a number of enquiries about the OYO Gym FlexPack if it is new, because the wax coating on it looks as if it might be used or dirty. We're here to tell you not to worry, that the FlexPack is new (and not defective).

What you see on the Nova Gym and OYO Gym FlexPack is a special wax lubricant that OYO Fitness manufacturing uses to lubricate the rubber on the OYO Gym FlexPack. The rubber is a special compound that took OYO Fitness two years to research and develop and the wax is to lubricate and protect it. It is in effect similar to lubricating the moving parts on a piece of gym equipment or oiling bicycle chain, it's there to help smooth the movement of the part, in this case, the SpiraFlex.

OYO Fitness also does not recommend cleaning it either, but to leave the wax as is. Again, similar to a bicycle chain, it isn't recommended to wipe the oil off a bicycle chain.

So do not worry, the FlexPack is new and the wax is there to optimize the performance of your SpiraFlex FlexPack.

Please do take note though, that we cannot make exchanges for the FlexPack for this (because it isn't defective).
